VQR Wins Two Magazine Awards
VQR was recently honored with two awards at the Folio: Show, a national magazine industry conference held in New York City on November 1, 2005.
VQR won a 1st Place Ozzie Award for Best Redesign in Non-Profit/Institutional/Custom category. The Ozzie Awards recognize excellence in magazine design. In 2004 VQR underwent a major redesign under the guidance of new editor Ted Genoways and design firm Percolator Graphic Design, based in Minneapolis.
VQR also received a 2nd Place award in the Eddies in the Association/Non-Profit/Institutional Category (circulation less than 6 times a year). The Eddie Awards recognize editorial excellence in magazines. A list of all the winners is at http://www.folioshow.com/2005_Eddie_Finalists.820.0.html.
The Eddie and Ozzie Awards are presented by Folio:, the magazine for magazine management, and are judged by panel of industry executives. In its 19th year, the Folio awards span 14 categories covering consumer, business-to-business, association and custom publishing segments. A panel of 90 industry experts reviewed more than 1,600 submissions from magazines across the country.
