Adam Boucher

Adam Boucher spent twelve years in the Forest Service as a wildland firefighter, including four years on Hotshot crews. A graduate of the University of Wyoming MFA program, he lives in Laramie, Wyoming, and works as an engine captain for the Forest Service in Walden, Colorado.

Stephanie Shieldhouse

Stephanie Shieldhouse is a freelance illustrator whose work has appeared in many books and publications, including Cricket, Johns Hopkins Magazine, the Chronicle of Higher Education, and the novel Lying Awake by Mark Salzman. She is also the proprietor of a letterpress print shop in Jacksonville, Florida.
