John Miller is a historian and author and professor emeritus of history at South Dakota State University. He is author of “Governor Philip F. La Follette, the Wisconsin Progressives, and the New Deal” (1982); “Looking for History on Highway 14” (1993); “Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little Town” (1994); and “Becoming Laura Ingalls Wilder: The Woman behind the Legend” (1998). He is currently working on a book about small town boys who grew up in the Midwest and is doing an extensive research project on South Dakota political history.
