Joy Williams is the author of four short-story collections, two works of nonfiction, and five novels, most recently Harrow (Knopf, 2021). Williams’s many honors include the 2021 Library of Congress Prize for American Fiction, the Rea Award for the Short Story, and the Straus Living Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She was elected to the Academy in 2008. Williams has been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award, and the National Book Critics Circle Award.
