Steven G. Kellman is a professor of comparative literature at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He is author of The Translingual Imagination; The Plague: Fiction and Resistance; Loving Reading: Erotics of the Text; and The Self-Begetting Novel; and editor or co-editor of Switching Languages: Translingual Writers Reflect on Their Craft; UnderWords: Perspectives on Don DeLillo’s Underworld; Magill’s Literary Annual; Into the Tunnel: Reflections on Gass’s Novel; Leslie Fiedler and American Culture; Perspectives on Raging Bull; and Approaches to Teaching Camus’s The Plague, among other titles. He is a contributing writer to the San Antonio Current and the Texas Observer.
