Tim Gautreaux

Born 1947 in Louisiana, Ph.D. Universityof South Carolina. Retired from teaching creative writing 30 years at Southeastern Louisiana University. Married to Winborne Howell, two children. Publications brought out by St. Martin’s press include short story collections Same Place, Same Things and Welding with Children, and novel The Next Step in the Dance. Most recent work is The Clearing, a novel (Knopf).
